Mr. Ravi K. Mattoo, Advocate, for the petitioner. Mr. Baljinder Singh, Advocate, for the respondent. ***** Rajan Gupta, J. (Oral) Writ petition was preferred by the petitioner seeking direction to respondent No.2 to consider his claim for revised pay scale and arrears w.e.f. 30.08.2007. Order was passed by the writ court on August 11, 2014. The Corporation remained quite for a considerable period. On 21.01.2016, it passed a speaking order directing that the petitioner would be paid arrears of pay considering him to be a Sewer Supervisor w.e.f. 30.08.2007. Keeping in view the resolution No.18 dated 15.04.2008 passed by the Corporation to this effect, grievance of the petitioner has been redressed. This court is, however, concerned with the inordinate delay committed by the Corporation in implementing the orders of the writ court. It is, thus, burdened with Rs.20,000/- as costs which may be remitted to the petitioner.

Petition is disposed of.

Rule is discharged.
