(ORAL) Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners argues that petitioners No.1 and 2 are on the verge of their superannuation, whereas, petitioners No.3 and 4 are widows and are working on the ClassIV posts, but still under the garb of reallocation, they have been transferred, which is arbitrary and illegal, as the division under which the petitioners are working is still in existence. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the grievance which is being raised in the present writ petition has already been raised with the authorities by the petitioners by filing separate representations, which have been attached as Annexure P-9 (Colly.). Learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that the petitioners will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a time bound direction is issued to the respondents to decide the said representations.

Mr. Charanpreet Singh, Assistant Advocate General, Punjab, who has joined the proceedings through video conference, keeping in view the service of advance copy of petition accepts notice on behalf of respondents-State.

Learned State counsel submits that the respondents have no objection with regard to prayer of the petitioners for deciding the representations (Annexure P-9 [Colly.]) in a time bound manner by passing the appropriate speaking orders keeping in view the fact that petitioners No.1 and 2 are nearing their superannuation and petitioners No.3 and 4 are widows and are working on the Class-IV posts. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the claim being made by the petitioners, respondent No.2 is directed to decide the representations (Annexure P-9 [Colly.]) by passing the appropriate speaking orders within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. It is made clear that till the appropriate orders are passed by the respondents on the representations (Annexure P-9 [Colly.]) filed by the petitioners, they shall be allowed to continue at the stations where the petitioners are presently discharging their duties. Present writ petition stands disposed of.
