Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that his complaint is pending for last seven years and appropriate direction be issued for expediting the same.

Warrants of arrest were issued on four occasions but were never executed and ultimately the proclamation proceedings were initiated. This act and conduct of the accused consumed almost more than one and a half year and when he surrendered on 10.11.2023, he was again released on bail the same very day.

The petitioner is suffering at the hands of the respondent and the case despite being at the stage of cross-examination of the complainant, the same is not being proceeded with as the case is being procrastinated by the accused on one ground or the other.

Accordingly, without commenting on the conduct of the Court which is proceeding in accordance with law, the present petition stands disposed of with a direction to the trial Court to expedite and complete the trial preferably within a period of six months from today and no unnecessary adjournments be granted.
