(Oral) Today, at the very outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the case of the petitioner for his premature release has already been initiated and the matter is presently pending before respondent No.2Addl. Director General of Police (Prisons), Punjab, Sector 17, Chandigarh. In view of the aforestated position, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the authorities concerned to consider and dispose of the case of the petitioner as regards his premature release expeditiously preferably within a period of 2 months from today. A copy of this order be conveyed to respondent No.2-Addl. Director General of Police (Prisons), Punjab, Sector 17, Chandigarh so as to enable him to do the needful.
