(ORAL) The petitioners herein seek the quashing of the FIR bearing No.0066 dated 04.06.2019 registered at Police Station Division No.5, District Jalandhar, under Sections 323 and 341 read with Section 34 IPC as well as all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, while averring that the parties have arrived at an amicable settlement in respect of their dispute in the present case.

However, learned counsel for the petitioners seeks permission to withdraw the instant petition while submitting that petitioners would be moving an appropriate application before the trial Court for seeking the compounding of the offences in the present case and he further prays that the trial Court may be directed to decide the same expeditiously.

General, Punjab has joined the proceedings on behalf of respondent No.1State in pursuance of the copy of the present petition having been sent to this respondent in advance and Mr. Rajan Singh Dadwal, Advocate, has also joined the proceedings on behalf of respondent No.2 in this case and has forwarded his Power of Attorney to the Court through email and the same has been placed on the file. They submit that they have no objection to the above-said submission as well as the prayer as made by learned counsel for the petitioners.

Resultantly, the petition in hand stands dismissed for having been withdrawn with the observation that in case, the petitioners and the complainant approach the trial Court by moving an appropriate application for seeking the compounding of the offences in the case, the same may be dealt with and disposed of strictly in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.
