On 12.01.2024, the following order was passed: "The petitioner in view of availability of alternative remedy to approach AFT does not press her prayer qua family pension and liberalised family pension.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that in terms of notification dated 02.06.2022 issued by State of Punjab, the petitioner is entitled to ex-gratia compensation of Rs.1 crore on account of death of her son while serving with Indian Army.

Learned State counsel seeks time to get instructions. The petition qua respondents No.1, 4 to 9 stands dismissed as withdrawn.

Adjourned to 14.02.2024."

Learned State counsel on instructions from Mandeep Singla, Junior Assistant, submits that son of the petitioner died on 15.12.2021 and on the said date policy notified vide notification dated 20.07.2020 Asgar Ali 2025.07.17 18:24 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-753-2024 2024:PHHC:022239 was in vogue. The Government vide notification dated 31.05.2022 has amended notification dated 20.07.2020, however, the said amendment has come into force w.e.f. 16.03.2022, thus, petitioner is entitled to ex-gratia amount as prescribed by notification dated 20.07.2020. He further submits that application of the petitioner is under active consideration and it would be processed within 8 weeks from today. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner agrees with aforesaid arrangement.

In the wake of statement of learned State counsel, the present petition stands disposed of.
