***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J . (Oral) Petitioner No.1-Heena aged 16 years and petitioner No.2-Sajan Singh aged 24 years, both of whom are in a 'live-in' relationship, have approached this Court seeking issuance of a direction to official respondents to protect their lives and liberty as they apprehend threat to the same at the hands of respondent Nos.4 and 5, who do not approve of their 'live-in' relationship.

Status report by way of affidavit of Parneet Singh, Inspector, SHO of Police Station Islamabad, Amritsar City has been filed. The same is taken on record.

It is not disputed that petitioner No.2 is presently in custody and is having 4 cases registered against him.

CRWP-118-2023 (O&M) - 2 - In view of the aforesaid position, it goes without saying that there cannot be any threat to life and liberty of petitioner No.2, while he is confined in jail.

As far as petitioner No.1 is concerned, the State has today filed reply and along with the said reply statement of petitioner No.1-Heena has been annexed, wherein she has categorically stated that she is presently residing with her parents out of her own wish and without any pressure and that nobody has kept her confined.

Faced with the aforestated position, the instant petition is disposed of. However, in case at a later stage, the petitioners apprehend any threat to their life and liberty, it shall be open to the petitioners to approach this Court again.
