 ) The petitioners possess the qualification of M.Sc. in Food Science and Technology, which falls within one of the disciplines of Life Science. This Court in Civil Writ Petition No.15661-2017 titled Archana v. State of Haryana and others, vide judgment dated 27.03.2023, has already held M.Sc. in Food Science and Technology from Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, as valid qualification for the post of PGT Biology. The decision was upheld by the Division Bench in LPA-22542024 and vide order dated 29.10.2024, Annexure P-12, the petitioner therein was given the appointment as well.

He further contends that the petitioners herein are also similarly placed as the petitioner in the aforementioned case. Besides, they have participated in the selection process, and the only reason to withhold their result is the clarification awaited from the School Education Department regarding their eligibility.

Learned counsel for the respondent-Commission contends that letter, dated 29.11.2024, has already been sent to the first respondent/Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Haryana, School Education Department, seeking clarification regarding certain degrees, including that of M.Sc. in Food Science and Technology, as to whether the same are to be considered valid qualification for the post of PGT Biology, which is still awaited.

Learned State counsel, on instructions, contends that

( appropriate decision regarding the petitioners' degree as well as those of other candidates in response to the Commission's letter, dated 29.11.2024, will be taken by the competent authority within eight weeks keeping in view the law laid down in Archana case.

In view thereof, the petition is disposed of with a direction that thereafter based upon the decision taken, the Commission will complete the exercise of recommending the candidates within three weeks. In case the petitioners fall within merit and are to be offerred the appointment as PGT, it shall be given notionally from the date other selected candidates pursuant to the advertisement in question have been appointed. 7.

Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, shall also stand(s) disposed of.
