The prayer in the present petition under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, 1973 is for the issuance of the directions to respondent Nos. 1 and 2 for conduction fair and impartial investigation in respect of the complaint dated 08.12.2020 (Annexure P-4) with a further direction to take necessary action against respondent Nos.3 to 7.

Admittedly, the case pertains to the disappearance of the maternal uncle of the petitioner way back in 1990. 3.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with directions to respondent No. 1, the Director General of Police, Punjab, to appoint an SIT headed by an ADGP-level officer to look into the allegations levelled in the present petition and thereafter proceed in accordance with law. 4.

All the pending miscellaneous applications, if any, stand disposed of.
