Status report by way of affidavit is taken on record. COCP No.1951 of 2010 The contempt petition has been filed in respect of the order dated 22.05.2006 passed in writ petition filed by Sahab Singh. There is violation of the status quo order with regard to the appointment of Lambardar to be maintained while admitting the writ petition. This Court vide order dated 06.10.2010 also admitted the contempt petition. Status report has been filed by Punnay Deep Sharma, Tehsil Barara, District Ambala to contend that the revision preferred by Jaswant Singh against the order of Commissioner. He while seeking appointment as Lambardar had not disclosed the factum of false affidavit that the order of the Financial Commissioner appointing him as Lambardar had not been assailed whereas CWP No.12672 of 2004 had been filed and there had been a status quo order.

COCP No.1951 of 2010 -2bearing No.240 dated 13.11.2010 under Sections 420/193/197/199/200 IPC had been initiated and further proceedings under Rule 16 of Punjab Land Revenue Act were initiated against him. Even the amount received by him as stipend and monetary benefits was ordered to be recovered. In view of the aforementioned status report, no cause of action arise. The respondents cannot be said to be in violation of the order dated 22.05.2006. The rule is accordingly discharged. The contempt petition stands disposed of.
