******* ARVIND SINGH SANGWAN, J. (ORAL) Prayer in this petition is for grant of regular bail in FIR No.185 dated 26.10.2021 under Sections 307, 506, 324 IPC (Sections 324, 326 IPC were added later on), registered at Police Station Division No.5, District Jalandhar.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has handed over a demand draft of Rs.1.00 lac favouring complainant/injured Randhir Singh, to learned counsel for the complainant. It is submitted that the petitioner is making this payment towards the medical expenses without prejudice to his right of defence to be led VISHNU 2022.05.16 16:00 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh

CRM-M-572-2022 -2before the trial Court. It is further submitted that the petitioner is in custody for the last 06 months and 18 days and is not involved in any other case. Learned State counsel has filed the custody certificate in the Court today and has not disputed the factual position. It is submitted that though challan stands presented, however, charges are yet to be framed, therefore, it will take some time in conclusion of the trial. After hearing learned counsel for the parties, without commenting anything on merits of the case and considering aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this petition is allowed and the petitioner is directed to be released on regular bail subject to furnishing his bail/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Illaqa Magistrate/Duty Magistrate, concerned. Petition is disposed of.
