JASWANT SINGH, J (ORAL) The services of 62 petitioners, who were working on daily wages on different projects with the Department of Water Supply & Sanitation, Punjab, were regularized on 18.3.2011 in terms of regularization Policy dated 18.3.2011. Their claim was that on account of their previous period of engagement, they be treated as appointees prior to 01.01.2004 so as to avail the benefit of the previous pension scheme. Since GPF account numbers were not being allotted, they filed the present contempt petition. Upon notice, a short reply by way of affidavit dated 24.1.2017 of Anil Kumar Bansal, Superintending Engineer, Department of Water Supply & Sanitation Circle, Sangrur has been filed stating that in compliance of order dated 07.5.2013 (P.1) passed by this Court in CWP No.9813 of 2011, GPF account numbers have been allotted to all the petitioners except petitioner No.11, who after retirement on 31.7.2009, has also been released

COCP No.2132 of 2013 #2# his retiral benefits thereby rendering the present contempt petition as infructuous.
