Petitioner filed CWP 9325/2015 seeking issuance of directions to respondents concerned to decide her pension case and to release the family pension for the service rendered by her deceased husband.

The said petition was disposed of by this Court vide order dated 12.5.2015 directing respondent no.1 herein to decide the legal notice served by the petitioner in this regard by passing a speaking order, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of certified copy of the said order.

Alleging disobedience of order dated 12.5.2015 instant contempt petition has been filed.

Upon notice, reply by way of affidavit dated 2.3.2017 of Rajinder Parshad Joshi 2017.05.11 15:47 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

COCP 2119/2016 Dr.Nanak Singh,IPS,SSP Faridkot-respondent no.2 has been filed. In para 4 of the said affidavit it has been stated that claim of the petitioner as raised in the legal notice was accepted by the Finance Department by issuing letter to Department of Home Affairs whereafter respondent no.2 passed a speaking order dated 17.2.2017 granting family pension to the petitioner and her case for family pension has been sent to the office of Accountant General,Punjab vide letter dated 21.2.2017 for issuance of sanction.

In view of the averments made in para 4 of the said affidavit, learned counsel for the petitioner concedes that the instant contempt petition has become infructuous.

Dismissed as infructuous.
