Mr.Anant Kataria,DAG Punjab assisted by Mr.Raspal Singh, Executive Engineer and Mr.Rajinder Singh, SDO Jaswant Singh,J(Oral) Petitioner retired on attaining the age of superannuation from the rank of Carpenter from Shahpur Kandi Dam Project on 30.4.2008. He had made a claim for the grant of benefit of 5 retrenchment increments and special increments granted to him by the Chief Engineer for the work charge period during his previous employment at Ranjit Sagar Dam, after the issue had been finally settled by Hon'ble the Supreme Court. Upon notice, an additional affidavit dated 12.1.2017 of Rashpal Singh, Executive Engineer, SPK Dam Division No.2 has been filed wherein in paras 4 and 5 it is stated that the benefit of four special increments as also five retrenchment increments already stands granted to the petitioner and accordingly his pension has also been refixed. The arrears accured have also since been paid.

In view of the above, present petition is disposed of as having become infructuous.
