AJAY TEWARI , J. (Oral) This petition has been filed for grant of parole to the petitioner for eight weeks on the ground that his wife is approximately 34 weeks pregnant and has been advised complete bed rest by the doctor. Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Vivek Saini, Additional Advocate General, Haryana, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and states that the petitioner is already on furlough w.e.f. 21.12.2021 and he is to surrender today i.e. 12.01.2022. On instructions, he further states that in case the petitioner surrenders today itself and move an application for emergency parole, then his case for parole shall be considered on merits immediately.

In the circumstances, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to surrender today before the competent authorities and move an application seeking emergency parole. On his doing so, the competent authority shall consider and decide the application immediately, in accordance with law.
