COCP 218/2017

IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB & HARYANA

AT CHANDIGARH Date of decision:01.02.2017 Gurtej Singh ............Petitioner vs Suresh Arora s/o not known, DGP Punjab .............Respondent CORAM:- HON'BLE MR.JUSTICE JASWANT SINGH Present:- Mr.Dinesh Kumar,Advocate for the petitioner.

Jaswant Singh,J(Oral) Petitioner filed CRM-M 34005/2015 alleging therein that he was being harassed by private persons over some land dispute and had also lodged a false FIR against him in which he stood discharged. Since he was apprehending danger to his life and property from those persons, he sought directions under Section 482 Cr.PC for directing the police authorities to take appropriate action against private respondents. The said petition was disposed of by this Court vide order dated 19.10.2016(P-1) directing official respondent to consider and decide the application(P-4 in CRM-M 34005/2015) of the petitioner expeditiously within the framework of law preferably within a period of 15days. Alleging non-compliance of the said order, instant contempt petition has been filed. A perusal of the present petition reveals that it is absolutely vague as far as contempt is concerned. The allegations are generally against private persons, who, it is alleged are out to implicate the petitioner in some false case and to encroach upon his land.

In this view of the matter, no case for initiating contempt Rajinder Parshad Joshi 2017.02.01 18:33 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
