Mr. D.R. Khanna, Advocate for the respondent. JASWANT SINGH, J (ORAL) The two petitioners were working as Lecturers on contract basis with Chaudhary Charan Singh Agricultural University, Hisar. Feeling threatened by termination of their contractual employment by replacing them by another set of contractual employees, they filed CWP No.11980 of 2016 wherein while issuing notice of motion vide order dated 03.06.2016, "status quo was ordered to be maintained".

In the present contempt petition, it is alleged that in spite of status quo order, the petitioners have been relieved in violation of the orders passed by this Court. Upon notice, reply has been filed.

However, at the time of hearing today, learned counsel for the respondent submits that the relieving orders dated 10.6.2016 have since been withdrawn vide order dated 07.12.2016 and the petitioners have been paid all the benefits including

COCP No.2260 of 2016 #2# monetary as if they were not relieved from service. It is further submitted that the petitioners have since re-joined their services on 30.12.2016.

In view of the aforesaid statement, present petition is disposed of as having become infructuous and the Rule is discharged.
