Present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to prepare separate merit list for reserved category by granting relaxation in the qualifying marks to the petitioners who belong to Scheduled Caste (Mazbhi & Balmiki) category and allow them to participate in further selection process, as per instructions dated 14.05.1969 (P-13) and circular letter dated 05.05.1970 (P-14). At the outset, learned counsel, on instructions from petitioners submitted that instead of pressing the present petition on merits, he would be satisfied in case the representation dated 26.11.2021 (P-11) is decided expeditiously.

In view of the agreed stand taken by both sides, but without going into the merits of the controversy, this writ petition is disposed off with direction to respondent No.3-Secretary, Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board, Mohali, to consider and decide the aforesaid representation dated 26.11.2021 (P-11) in accordance with law by passing speaking order within a period of 04 (four) months from the receipt of certified copy of this order.
