**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL , J. (ORAL) The petitioner is seeking regular bail in FIR No. 0287 dated 20.10.2019 under Section 61 of Punjab Excise Act, 1914 registered at Police Station Sardulgarh, District Mansa.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the alleged recovery was effected from the open fields and the petitioner has been in custody since 25.10.2019. He further submits that the co-accused have been granted regular bail by this Court.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Balraj Singh, submits that challan is yet to be filed.

The petitioner is in custody since 25.10.2019. The trial will take time to conclude. No useful purpose would be served by keeping the petitioner behind the bars.
