In a criminal complaint pending before the police authorities, the petitioner apprehending undue harassment, filed CRM-M 108/2018 which was disposed of on 9.1.2018 with a direction that in case the petitioners are required for any investigation, DSP Investigation will issue a written notice before calling them in his office. It is not disputed that the case was at the inquiry stage earlier and now an FIR No.8 dated 18.1.2018 for offences under Sections 420/ 408/ 380/120-B IPC, PS Jandiala,Distt.Amritsar Rural has been registered. The instant contempt has been filed with the allegations that the FIR has been registered without issuing a written notice to the petitioners-accused. At the time of hearing, learned counsel prays for permission to withdraw the instant petition.
