Instant contempt was filed alleging disobedience of order dated 10.9.2013 passed by this Court in CWP 19865/2013 whereby respondent was directed to consider the claim of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Assistant Superintendent (Revenue and Records) from the date the person junior to him stood promoted. The decision was to be taken within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order.

Notice of motion was issued.

On 6.3.2017 learned counsel for the respondent stated that the instant contempt has become infructuous as the order passed by this Court has since been complied with. However, since on that date Rajinder Parshad Joshi 2017.03.14 18:06 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

COCP 2342/2016 counsel for the petitioner was not present the case was ordered to be listed today.

At the time of hearing,learned counsel for the petitioner states that the instant contempt petition has been rendered infructuous as the necessary order in terms of directions passed by this Court has been passed.

Dismissed as infructuous.
