Relevant extract of the aforesaid letter dated 25.01.2023 reads as under:- "

- x - x - This is in reference to receipt of an adverse Police Verification Report corresponding to your application for passport issue, with file number CH2077352963223 dated 02/01/2023. FIR NO. 192 DATE 26-12-2006 U/S 409 IPC 13(2) 88 P ACT 13(1) CPC ACT PS BHIKHI CANCELLATION DATE 10-11-09 You are therefore, called upon to provide a suitable explanation within 30 days. Please note that you are required to furnish a proper explanation regarding the circumstances under which you had suppressed the material information in your passport application. Please be informed that in case of non response within the specified period, or a non-satisfactory response, you will be denied the passport against this or any future application unless cleared in appeal by the PSP Division or Court.

Please send self attested photocopies, or originals of the documents as required. Send the documents by registered post to the address of the Regional Passport Office mentioned above. Please make sure to mention your file number and the reference number mentioned in the top block of this letter on each page/document and also on the envelope for further correspondence. If you live in the vicinity of Chandigarh or have been specifically asked to appear in person, you could choose to submit the required documents to the Superintendent Enquiry at the Regional Passport Office between 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM only on all working days (Except Wednesday). - x - x - "

Learned counsel for the petitioner, keeping in view the aforesaid letter dated 25.01.2023, submits that the petitioner would file a

fresh application with all the necessary documents, in terms of the said letter. Accordingly, he prays for withdrawal of the instant writ petition at this stage.
