JASWANT SINGH, J (ORAL) The ten petitioners, who are working as Stenographers/Clerks/Readers in the District Courts at Chandigarh, claimed that that the arrears towards grant of Uniform/Dress allowance, as per the recommendations of the Shetty Commission, payable w.e.f 01.4.2003 till 2008 were not being released, thus, there was violation of the directions issued by Hon'ble Supreme Court at Annexures P.1,P.2 & P.4. At the time of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioners concedes that the present contempt petition has become infructuous as the arrears in terms of the directions, have since been released to the petitioners.

In view of the aforesaid statement made at bar, present contempt petition is dismissed as having become infructuous and the rule is discharged.
