Status report by way of affidavit of Satinder Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police, Police District Khanna, District Ludhiana has been filed in court. Learned State counsel has referred to same and submits that FIR No. 36 dated 09.03.2017 under sections 379 & 447 IPC at police station Machhiwara Sahib has been registered and investigation is in progress. In view of above, present contempt petition has been rendered infructuous. Same is disposed of. Rule is discharged. This court hopes and trusts that investigation is to be taken to its logical end by the investigating agency.
