1. The petitioner has come before this Court praying for directing the respondents to complete/decide the inquiry in complaint dated 28.04.2022 within a period of 30 days, as he is due to retire in November, 2025.

2. I have considered the submissions and perused the complaint filed against the petitioner. This Court finds that there are allegations of embezzlement against the petitioner in relation to laying down of sewerage pipes as Assistant Engineer. It is alleged that the petitioner neither gave the estimate of this pipeline nor level has been done, and resultantly the pipes have been laid down on the ground where no water is being discharged and they are of no use. The grants and panchayat fund amount has been siphoned off as alleged in the complaint. It appears that the sarpanch and the Panchayat Secretary are also fully involved.

It is therefore directed that the Vigilance Department of the State Government shall conduct a detailed inquiry, and if it is found that there is embezzlement and involvement of officers, they shall take immediate action.
