(ORAL) Present petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking direction to the respondents for the regularization of their services, which they had rendered for more than 20 years on daily wage basis with the respondents. Petitioners are placing reliance upon judgments of this Court in CWP-21251-2014 tilted as 'Nasib Singh and others Vs. The State of Punjab and others', decided on 08.02.2017 (Annexure P-3) as well as on the judgment of Division Bench of this Court in LPA-113-2015 titled as 'State of Punjab and others Vs. Jagpal Singh', decided on 03.03.2015 (Annexure P-4) to claim the benefits. From the pleadings, it transpires that for the relief which has been claimed in the present writ petition, petitioners have already served a legal notice dated 16.11.2020 (Annexure P-6) upon the respondents, NARESH KUMAR 2021.02.02 14:03 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
CWP-1837-2021 -2which according to the petitioners, is still pending consideration with the authorities.
Interest of justice will be served, at this stage, in case a time bound direction is issued to respondent No.2 to decide the claim of the petitioners as raised in legal notice dated 16.11.2020 (Annexure P-6), by passing an appropriate speaking order.
Without commenting upon the merits of the case or about the entitlement of the petitioners for the relief, which has been claimed by them in the legal notice dated 16.11.2020 (Annexure P-6), the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to decide the legal notice dated 16.11.2020 (Annexure P-6) within a period of three months from the receipt of a copy of this order. In case after the decision, it is found that the petitioners are entitled for any relief, the same shall also be released to them within a period of one month thereafter. Present writ petition stands disposed of.
