The CRM-M No.16317-M of 2011 was disposed of on 25.05.2011 on the basis of statement made by learned State counsel that investigation under FIR No.64, dated 26.05.2010 filed under Section 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B of IPC registered at Police Station Ajnala, District Amritsar, shall be concluded within three months. The contempt petition is filed pleading that needful has not been done by the respondents.

The respondent filed affidavit of Mr. Jasdev Singh Sidhu, PPS, Superintendent of Police, Detective, Amritsar (Rural), dated 28/29-02-2012 annexing report dated 22.02.2012. COCP No.2713 of 2011 -2presented against five accused and two accused were declared proclaimed offenders. It is submitted that no cause of action survives for pursuing the contempt petition.
