The present contempt petition has been filed pleading wilful disobedience of order dated 24.09.2016 passed by this Court in CRM-M No.34168 of 2016.

COCP No.2690 of 2017 -2Reply by way of affidavit of Kuldeep Singh Chahal, IPS, SSP, SAS Nagar, Mohali was filed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that in view of reply filed, no cause of action survives to pursue the contempt petition. However, he seeks liberty to avail remedies in accordance with law.

The contempt petition is disposed of as infructuous with liberty as prayed for.

The rule issued against the respondent stands discharged.
