This is a revision petition that has been filed seeking to challenge the order dated 04.09.2018 whereby the Civil Judge has declined to assess and fix the provisional rent.

In pursuance of notice of motion, appearance has been caused on behalf of the respondent.

Learned counsel for the petitioner without pressing upon the order so passed, limits his prayer to an early disposal of the ejectment petition pending before the Rent Controller, Phillaur. The ejectment application was filed on 29.05.2018 and therefore, prays for an expeditious disposal of the same.

On the other hand, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent contends that the petitioner himself has availed several opportunities to conclude his evidence, therefore, equal opportunities ought to be given to the respondent.

No.87 of 2019 -2fact that the petitioner herein is not pressing for assessment of provisional rent, this Court disposes of the instant revision petition with a direction to the Rent Controller, Phillaur to dispose of the matter as expeditiously as possible after giving adequate opportunities to the respondent to lead his evidence.
