Reply on behalf of the State has been filed in court. Same is taken on record. Learned State counsel has referred to para 4 thereof. Same reads as under:- "That in compliance with above order of Hon'ble Court, Superintendent Central Jail, Faridkot moved pre mature release case on 31-08-2016. That as per the procedure,his case was considered by a committee at Prison Head Quarters and deponent also considered the case of the petitioner for pre mature release as per policy dated 08.07.1991 and same was sent to the State Government stating the facts of the case on 0912-2016 as Government is competent authority to decide the pre mature release case and further same was sent H.E. Governor State of Punjab for final disposal on 19-12-2016 which is under active consideration of H.E. Governor of Punjab."

In view of above, present contempt petition has been rendered infructuous and is dismissed as such.
