Petitioner filed CWP 17510/2011, subject matter of which was grant of selection grade and claim of promotion,if any and consequential benefits. The said writ petition was disposed of vide order dated 21.2.2013 with a direction that his claim shall be considered and decided within two months. Petitioner was given liberty to make a representation for grant of interest on delayed payment and such representation was to be decided by respondents within a period of three months.
Alleging disobedience of order dated 21.2.2013, petitioner filed COCP 1970/2013 which was dismissed vide order dated 8.8.2014. However, in the concluding para of the said order dated 8.8.2014, respondents/contemners were directed to furnish a break-up of the Rajinder Parshad Joshi 2017.04.21 10:09 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
COCP 2823/2015 financial benefit that had been granted to the petitioner. Now again alleging disobedience of order dated 8.8.2014 passed in COCP 1970/2013 instant contempt has been filed. At the time of hearing today, a reply by way of short affidavit of Ashok Kumar Lohgarhi, Joint Director, 0/0 DPI(Colleges), Punjab has been filed stating therein that the break up, as directed by this Court in order dated 8.8.2014 passed in COCP 1970/2013 has been supplied to the petitioner through his present college vide letter dated 30.3.2016(R-1). The said short reply is taken on record. In view of the above contents of the reply filed today, it is apparent that the instant contempt petition has become infructuous. Dismissed as infructuous.
