Mr.Anant Kataria,DAG Punjab Jaswant Singh,J(Oral) Petitioner claims himself to be Head of a Dera and on account of an incident, had filed a criminal complaint before the police. Since no action to his liking was being undertaken, he filed CRM-M 34889/2016 which was disposed of vide order dated 29.9.2016 passed by this Court directing SSP Patiala to decide his complaint by passing a speaking order within three weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order. As the needful was not done within stipulated time, hence present contempt petition.

Upon notice, detailed reply has been filed by SSP Patiala wherein it is submitted that a detailed enquiry was conducted on the allegations made in the complaint and finding no cognizable offence no FIR was registered.

In view of the above, learned State counsel submits that the present contempt petition has become infructuous\. Dismissed as infructuous.
