Sadhu Singh v. C. Sibin And ANR
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT
CHANDIGARH COCP No. 2761 of 2017 Date of decision : 26.09.2017 Sadhu Singh ....Petitioner V/s C. Sibin, Director, Department of Rural Development and Panchayat, Punjab ....Respondent BEFORE : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJAN GUPTA
Present:
Mr. Ramandeep Singh Pandher, Advocate for the petitioner. RAJAN GUPTA J.
Petitioner alleges violation of writ court order passed way-back in April 11, 2013. Grievance was regarding bifurcation of Gram Panchayat of village Lambi. Petition was disposed of with the direction that in case petitioner prefers any representation, same would be considered as early as possible but not later than two months. It is inexplicable why petitioner slept over his right for four years. Besides, in case the Gram Panchayat has been bifurcated, separate Panchayats may have been created and they may have become independent entities by now.
At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be allowed to withdraw this petition with liberty to examine whether any other alternative remedy is available to the petitioner. Dismissed as withdrawn with aforesaid liberty. September 26, 2017 (RAJAN GUPTA) Ajay JUDGE Whether speaking/reasoned:
