The writ petition seeking payment of bills raised upon the Department of Panchayats, Punjab for execution of works was disposed of vide order dated 30.3.2017 passed by this Court in CWP 6640/2017 with a direction for considering the claim within three months of the receipt of the order.
The contempt jurisdiction has been invoked for seeking release of a sum of Rs.10 lacs after payment of approximately 90 lacs in terms of speaking order passed.
Upon hearing counsel for the petitioner no case for invoking contempt jurisdiction is made out as the speaking order has been passed and an amount of approximately 90 lacs has also been paid and it has been observed that the remaining amount would be paid on the release of funds by the Department.
In view of the above,at this stage, no case for invoking contempt jurisdiction is made out.
Dismissed.
