*** JASWANT SINGH, J.(ORAL) By filing the present contempt petition, the petitioner, who had pleaded inaction on the part of the respondents with regard to the illegal removal of earth from the Gram Panchayat land of Village Manak Majra, Block Malerkotla-I, Tehsil Malerkotla, District Sangrur by the Villagers in connivance with the Sarpanch without there being any entry in the record, has alleged wilful disobedience of the order dated 03.8.2016 passed by this Court in CWP No.15455 of 2016, directing respondent No.4-General Manager-cum-Mining Officer, District Industrial Centre, Malerkotla, District Sangrur to look into the matter, consider and decide his representation dated 11.5.2016 (P.1).
Upon notice, short reply by way of affidavit dated 10.3.2017 of Tehal Singh Sekhon, General Manager-cum-Mining Officer, District
COCP No.2877 of 2016 (O&M) #2# Industries Centre, Malerkotla District Sangrur has been filed stating that in compliance of the order passed by this Court, a speaking order dated 01.3.2017 (R.1) has been passed thereby rendering the present petition as infructuous.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has not disputed the aforesaid fact.
