Notice of motion.

On the asking of court, Mr. Harsimran Singh Sethi, Addl. A.G. Punjab. who is present in court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. Petitioner alleges violation of order dated 31.08.2016 passed by this court, operative part thereof reads as under:- "Learned counsel for the petitioners only prays for the relief that the representation dated 21.07.2016 (Annexure P2), moved to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taranrespondent No. 2, by petitioner No. 1 Lakhwant Singh be considered and he does not press the other relief asked in this petition.

In view of above, respondent No. 2 Senior Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taran is directed to look into the said representation dated 21.07.2016 (Annexure P-2) and pass appropriate order within two months after receiving copy of this order, as per law.

With aforesaid direction, this petition stands disposed of."

COCP No. 2823 of 2017 shall be complied with at the earliest, in any case no later than one month. In view of statement made by learned State counsel, no further direction is necessary. Disposed of. It is made clear that in case any fresh cause of action accrues to the petitioner, this court shall consider imposition of exemplary costs which shall be deducted from the salary of the official(s) found guilty for delay/non-compliance.
