*** HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI , J. (ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioner argues that the benefits in respect of the service rendered by late husband of the petitioner, namely, Raj Kumar, who unfortunately died on 21.03.2019 in harness, are not being released to the petitioner due to which she is suffering financial crunch and is not able to live a dignified life. The prayer of the petitioner is for issuance of a direction to the respondents to release the benefits, for which she is entitled for in respect of the service rendered by her late husband, forthwith .

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that for the relief, which is being claimed in the present writ petition, petitioner has submitted a representation dated 25.03.2019 (Annexure P-3) to the respondents, which is still pending consideration with the respondents NARESH KUMAR 2020.01.15 16:38 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

CWP-603-2020 -2and the petitioner will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a time bound direction is issued to the respondent to decide the said representation. In view of the request made, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the claim being made by the petitioner, the respondents are directed to decide the representation dated 25.03.2019 (Annexure P-3) by passing a speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. In case after the decision, it is found that the petitioner is entitled for any monetary benefit, the same shall also be released to her within a period of next three months.

Present writ petition stands disposed of.
