JASWANT SINGH, J (ORAL) The petitioner through the writ petition bearing CWP No.10588 of 2016 had claimed for allotment of flat under Chandigarh Small Flats Scheme, 2006 pleading that despite the orders passed by the Permanent Lok Adalat, the respondent Authorities failed to do the needful. Said writ petition was disposed of by this Court while directing that the respondents shall process the petitioner's application by 31.8.2016 in accordance with the said order dated 22.5.2015 (P.5) unless the same has been set aside or otherwise modified. The petitioner in the present contempt petition prays for punishing the respondents for wilful disobedience of the orders passed by this Court.
COCP No.2949 of 2016 #2# Upon notice, a short reply by way of an affidavit dated20.12.2016 of Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, IAS, D.C-cum-Estate Officer, UT, Chandigarh has been filed on behalf of the respondents wherein it is averred that vide allotment letter dated 09.11.2016, the petitioner has been allotted Flat No.349-C situated at Mauli Jagran UT, Chandigarh.
At the time of hearing today, learned counsel for the petitioner accedes that no further action is warranted in this case. As a sequel of what has been stated above is sufficient to convince this Court to dismiss this petition as having been rendered infructuous.
