Short reply by way of affidavit of Sibin C, Director Rural Development and Panchayats, Punjab has been filed in court. Learned State counsel has referred to para 3 thereof. Same reads as under:- "3. It is also submitted that an amount of Rs. 9,05,307/- is credited as arrear of Pension with effect from 01.03.2013 to 31.01.2017 with arrear of DA. Vide This officer Letter No. 219 Dated 15.02.2017 in Saving bank Account Number 0309000304010329 of the petitioner. Copy of the above letter is annexed as R/s and Interest on delayed Payment Rs. 2,23,854/- as interest vide this office letter No. 661 Dated 05.05.2017 annexed as are R/3. Arrear of pension and interest on delayed payment is calculated as per table below:- Detail of Payment and Period Amount Date of Payment Arrear of Pension 01.03.2013 31.03.2017 9,05,307/- Rs.
