Janak Raj Mehrok, Secretary Punjab School Education Board, SAS Nagar, has been filed in court today. Same is taken on record. It has been stated before the court that the petition has been rendered infructuous as speaking order dated April 07, 2017, Annexure R-1, has been passed.

The order had to be passed within 06 weeks from the date of disposal of the writ petition. However, respondents have passed a speaking order after lapse of 08/09 months. Thus, punitive costs of Rs.20,000/- is imposed upon the respondent. Rs.10,000/- each be remitted to both the petitioners. Subject to payment of the costs aforesaid, rule would stand discharged. Disposed off.
