HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J Prayer is for grant of regular bail in case FIR No.167 dated 21.08.2021 under Sections 379-B/506 IPC registered at P.S Sadar Faridkot, District Faridkot.

As per allegations in the FIR, the petitioner along with coaccused Gursewak Singh and Gurpreet Singh came to a petrol pump on a motorcycle on 13.08.2021. They not only got fuel filled for which they refused to pay but also snatched a sum of Rs.1700/- from the Pump Operator. They went away issuing threat to the Pump Operator. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been in custody since 12.09.2021. The matter has also been compromised with the complainant.

On the other hand, learned State counsel submits that the investigation is complete and challan has been presented and that the petitioner is also involved in three other cases. CRM-M-1662 of 2022 #2# also bearing in mind the fact that the matter, as stated by learned counsel for the petitioner, has been compromised with the complainant coupled with the custody period and also that the trial is not likely to be concluded in near future, in my opinion, no useful purpose will be served by detaining the petitioner behind bars any further. The petition, as such, is accepted. The petitioner Manpreet Singh @ Manna is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds/surety bonds to the satisfaction of learned trial Court/Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate concerned. However, it will be open for the prosecution to apply for cancellation of bail, if the petitioner is found involved misusing the concession of bail, in any manner or is involved in any other case of similar nature.
