Petitioner filed CWP 20378/2016 seeking a direction to respondents to release the payments in respect of various construction works executed by him against work orders issued by the respondents. The said writ petition was disposed of vide order dated 29.9.2016 directing the respondents to decide legal notice dated 29.8.2016 served by the petitioner, by passing an appropriate order within one month from the date of receipt of copy of the order. Now alleging disobedience of said order instant contempt has been filed.

COCP 3014/2016 2 filed stating therein that in compliance of the order passed by this Court the legal notice of the petitioner has been decided by passing speaking order dated 30.11.2016 and payments in respect of works completed by the petitioner have already been released, as detailed in page 4 of the said affidavit.

In reply to the affidavit filed today, learned counsel for the petitioner concedes that the directions issued by this Court have been duly complied with and no further action is warranted in the instant contempt petition.

Dismissed as infructuous.
