(Oral) Learned counsel for the petitioners, after arguing for some time, restricts his prayer to the extent that the learned trial Court be directed to take decision upon the cancellation report presented by the police in a time bound manner.

I have heard counsel for the petitioners and perused the paper book carefully.

In my considered opinion, the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner is fair and just. Accordingly, the learned JMIC, Jagraon is directed to take a decision on the cancellation report filed by the police, in accordance with law, within three months from today. The learned JMIC, Jagraon is also permitted to prepone the hearing of the case from the date already fixed i.e. 31.05.2024 to an earlier date after following due procedure.
