JASWANT SINGH, J (ORAL) Alleging willful disobedience of Order dated 26.9.2016 passed by this Court in CWP No.19977 of 2016, the petitioner, who pleaded herself to be an unfortunate victim of rape, cheating, forgery and loss of valuable property at the hands of private respondents arrayed in writ petition, has filed this Contempt Petition contending that inspite of specific direction to the Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Home Affairs, Punjab, to look into the matter and consider her grievance raised in representation dated 17.9.2016 (P.2) regarding harassment and threats by police officials during investigations, no decision has been taken.

Upon notice, short reply by way of affidavit dated

COCP No.3094 of 2016 (O&M) #2# 07.4.2017 of N.S. Kalsi, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Home Affairs and Justice, Punjab has been filed averring that in compliance of the order, a speaking order dated 07.4.2017 (R.2), on the basis of report submitted by the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, has been passed thereby rendering the petitioner incapable of any further relief, on the administrative side, being granted. The challan in the FIR stands submitted.

In view of aforesaid, the contempt petition is dismissed as infructuous and the rule is discharged.
