By way of instant writ petition, petitioners have approached this Court for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the official respondents to lay sewerage pipelines in a planned manner as per the map prepared by the respondents for wards No. 13 and 14, Municipal Council Khanna, District Ludhiana.

That the concerned authorities of Municipal Council, Khanna and Punjab Water Supply & Sewerage Board have informed that after approval of the estimate and arrangement of requisite funds, the remaining work can be completed within a time frame of approximately 9 months by inviting tenders."
