Petitioners filed CWP 15241/2016 with the allegations that despite their representation no action was taken against Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat,Sarai Bahadur Nagar regarding concealment of information relating to pendency of a criminal case against him. The said writ petition was disposed of vide order dated 1.8.2016 with a direction to respondents to consider and decide the representation of the petitioners within a period of three months from the date of certified copy of the order.

In the instant contempt, disobedience of said order dated 1.8.2016 has been alleged.

Upon notice, reply by way of affidavit of respondent herein has been filed today, stating therein that in compliance with the order Rajinder Parshad Joshi 2017.04.07 14:06 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

COCP 3113/2016 dated 1.8.2016 passed by this Court, representation dated 5.2.2016 was considered and enquiry held into the allegations levelled in the said representation. It is further submitted that after receiving the enquiry report, the representation dated 5.2.2016 stands filed. The reply is taken on record.

At the time of hearing,learned counsel for the petitioner concedes that in view of the contents of reply, no further action is warranted and the present contempt petition has become infructuous. Dismissed as infructuous.
