Petitioner,who is working as Salesman with Markfed was having joint custody of wheat stock at Branch Office,Quadian. After inspection of stock certain irregularities and discrepancies in the said branch were found leading to disciplinary proceedings. The petitioner was awarded punishment of reduction by three stages in his time scale and recovery of Rs.26,35,329/- alongwith interested. Aggrieved against the same he filed appeal. Since his appeal as also stay application was not being decided by the appellate authority, he filed CWP14072/2016. The said writ petition was disposed of vide order dated 19.7.2016 with a direction to respondents to decide his pending appeal in a time bound manner in accordance with statutory rules applicable to the petitioner.
Alleging disobedience of said order dated 19.7.2016 instant contempt has been filed.

COCP 310/2017 respondent has produced a copy of the order bearing endorsement date 10.4.2017 whereby his appeal has been decided and case remanded back for decision afresh. The said order is taken on record. None has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioner. In view of the said order, it is apparent that the instant contempt has been rendered infructuous.
