The instant petition has been filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.209 dated 12.09.2022 (Annexure P-1) under Sections 21-B/29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, registered at Police Station STF, District SAS Nagar. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that no doubt the petitioner in involved in a couple of cases under the NDPS Act, however, in view of the petitioner having delivered a baby as recently on 14.01.2024, she be extended the concession of interim bail so that she could nurse her newborn baby within the confines of her home. He restricts his prayer to that extent only. 3.
Learned State counsel, on instructions, has not disputed the factum of the petitioner having delivered a baby on 14.01.2024. In the facts and circumstances as enumerated hereinabove, this Court deems it fit to extend the concession of interim bail to the petitioner till 04.03.2023. The petition as such is disposed of, and the petitioner is ordered to be released on interim bail to the Jaspreet Kaur 2024.01.16 19:35 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
