IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH

COCP-3257-2013 (O & M) Date of decision: 18.11.2016 Gram Panchayat Upli Tehsil Gharaunda .... Petitioners V/s Ramesh Kumar and ors.

...Respondent(s)

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJAN GUPTA

Present:

Mr. Sanjiv Gupta, Advocate, for the petitioner. Mr. Parminder Singh, Advocate, for respondents no.1 to 4. Mr. Siddharth Sanwaria, DAG, Haryana.

**** Rajan Gupta, J. (Oral) Petitioner has preferred the instant contempt petition for violation of order dated May 30, 2013, passed by this court while hearing RSA No.3046 of 2012.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has urged that the respondents did not comply with the interim order passed by the court. Mr. Parminder Singh, Advocate, on the other hand, submits that the present petition has been rendered infructuous as the land in question was sold by the rehabilitation department. As a result, aforesaid RSA was dismissed as having become infructuous. Keeping in view the aforesaid situation, I am of the considered view that no further order needs to be passed in this case. The petition is hereby dismissed.

Needless to observe that petitioner would be at liberty to avail alternative remedy, if any.
