At the outset, learned counsel for the State submits that the complaint lodged by the petitioner has been looked into and the FIR has been recorded.

Per contra, learned counsel for the petitioner has vehemently argued that despite lodging of the FIR, the authorities are not taking any cogent steps to arrest the accused, who are still threatening and pressurizing him to withdraw the complaint and/or compromise the matter which he is not ready to do.

Heard learned counsel for the parties.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of the present petition, with liberty to approach the trial Court by way of filing an application under Section 156 (3) Cr.P.C. PARUL 2024.01.16 17:42 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

In light of the above, the present petition stands dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to the petitioner to approach the competent authority in accordance with law including a complaint under Section 156 (3) Cr.P.C. for appropriate orders especially in light of the law settled in the case of "Sakiri Vasu v. State of Uttar Pradesh And Others". 6.
It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and the liberty granted, if any, is only on the request of the counsel for the petitioner and is not a direction.
